Andrea Avila Wei is a lifelong lover and learner of music. Her love for music was rooted by her parents at a young age. Her father - being a former performing musician and her mother - always playing a wide variety of music on the stereo. In grade school, Andrea took piano lessons and sang in the school choirs.

While at Darton College, Andrea studied classical guitar, performed vocals with the jazz band, and she played percussion with the college concert band. At Georgia State University, she sang in the college choir and played classical guitar. While earning her BS in Music Management, Andrea interned with Live Nation, BME Recordings, and the Atlantis Music Conference. After graduating, Andrea continued working in the music industry with companies such as ASCAP, A3C Hip Hop Festival, and Sixthman. Andrea took a hiatus from the work world to be a stay-at-home mom to her two sons. She loves sharing her love of music with her sons, both of whom are students of Guitar Shed. She’s now back to work and thrilled to be joining the Guitar Shed family!
