BIO
Magda Roub holds two music-based degrees, one from Valdosta State University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre, and one from Shenandoah Conservatory where she received her Masters of Music in Voice Pedagogy (CCM). Coming from a family with two musician parents, she has been singing, acting, and making music since before she could talk, and specializes in musical theatre and other contemporary commercial music styles. Some of her favorite musical theatre credits include Ilse (Spring Awakening), Woman 1 (I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change), Bret (Calvin Berger), and Yvonne (Sunday in the Park with George). She also has a distinct passion for music direction, and has directed several professional and youth theatre productions in the metro Atlanta area.
A Florida native, Magda moved to the Atlanta area in May 2021 and has been teaching voice and piano ever since. While getting her Masters degree, Magda developed a special interest in vocal health, specifically vocal health education for adolescent and young adult singers. Her lessons focus strongly on teaching technique through repertoire work, and educating on vocal health and voice science in an age-appropriate and fun way.
When she is not working, she enjoys crocheting and spending time with her pets, Freddie, Stevie, and Donut.
